Planning Your Trip

Getting Started

There are several things you might want to think about when planning your trip.  Southeast Idaho provides several great rivers that are broken into may great floats.  Most of our customers prefer the South Fork of the Snake River or the Henry's Fork.  However, Idaho Falls offers great access to the Teton River, Jackson, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park.  All of these areas offer some of the world's best fly fishing.

Water Flows

First thing you will want to do is check the rivers for safe water flows.  Check out the following link to see what current flow rates are:

Weather

Idaho weather changes so frequently, you will want to make sure that you are prepared for the weather Idaho can throw at you.  Check out the forecast to the side to see what the weather is doing.

What's On

Of course you'll want to know what's biting.  We try to keep things updated on our blog, but if not make sure to check out some of these reports:

What you need to bring

Our boats come equipped with all of the basics including oars, 1 spare oar, 3 life jackets, anchor, spare rope, and a whistle.  You'll want to make sure to bring your own tackle, cooler, or anything else to keep you safe and comfortable on the river.  We also have various towing accessories if anything is needed.

Once in town I recommend hitting a local fly shop.  They'll have up to date information on the rivers as well as fly patterns that are tied locally and have proven success on our rivers.  Some of my favorite shops are listed below:
