Wow, it's been a few weeks since we have posted. The good news is, the fishing is great! All of our renters are reporting back with lots of success.
We've had a few renters that are new to the area, so I thought I would give you guys some information about the South Fork. If you aren't familiar with where to retrieve or launch your boat, here is a great website that will give you some direction:

If you haven't floated the South Fork before, we recommend doing the run from Husky (Palisades Creek) down to Spring Creek. There aren't as many areas for you to get in trouble with. A straight float could take you anywhere from 5 to 7 hours depending on the flow rates. Most people find it takes 7 to 9 by the time they stop and hit all of the fishing holes they find.
If you are looking to float from Conant down to Wolf or Byington I recommend you find someone that has floated this section before, or has lots of experience reading the river. This section of the river just has a few surprises that might catch you off guard.
Unfortunately, we won't let our boats go past Byington. Although there are some great fishing spots further down, the down timber can be extremely hazardous and we want our renters to be safe.
Hope that helps. Good luck out there!
